Opus Energy knows a thing or two about being a rapidly growing business. In just over a decade they have grown to be a company that supplies energy to nearly 300,000 businesses across the UK, and recent research shows that other small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) across the nation are no less ambitious.
Business is on the rise
They polled 500 SMEs and discovered that over half of them grew in that business year– that’s 54% of businesses who enjoyed a successful 2014, with half of businesses also predicting growth for their year ahead.
But, challenges facing quickly expanding companies often get in the way of well-laid plans and, as is so often the case, lack of resources can get in the way of ambition and put a stopper on success.
Do you have the right resources?
The Business Boost Report research shows that, while over half (51%) of SMEs are putting their budget into expansion next year, most of them face barriers that are preventing them from growing. 55% of SMEs say lack of finance is stopping them expanding as much as they would like, and on top of that, 54% of SMEs are restricted by time pressures, as well as having a lack of skilled staff (51%).
How can we help?
